Smoking Hot

I thought I would end the year with a blog post of my last session of the year. Meet Mr & Mrs Rodriguez. I am no stranger to the couple as my son and Cris played baseball together as children. However, if you know me you know I love to infuse the couple’s personality into every session. Just look at them, they are gorgeous alone and together … well let’s just say that’s how this blog post got its title.

Veronica is a teacher’s assistant and Cris is a firefighter. Both have a newlywed flare that I pray never burns out. With that said, it only seemed fitting we capture all of this in their session. I want to say about 75% of the time when I ask couples to kiss or look at each other in the eye they are extremely shy about it. They rush their kisses and I have to be really quick about capturing it. But then there is the 25%, that you must pry apart from each other.

There were no objections to being in love in front of the lens; it was completely natural and in our prior conversations Veronica felt she needed help with posing. When in reality all I did was make a few suggestions on where to sit and stand. What you see in the gallery is the authentic love between the two.

There is a quote from David Ramirez that comes to mind when I look at the way these two look at each other, “I could start fires with what I feel for you”.

I love capturing the real deal. How did I know it was real? Cris felt Vero was out of his league and Vero felt Cris was out of her league. There is something to be said about two people who come together and think highly of the other more than of themselves. They both feel honored to be loved by the other.
